LTD.</publisher-name></publisher></journal-meta><article-meta><article-id pub-id-type="doi">10.18063/EIR.v4i3.1753</article-id><article-categories><subj-group subj-group-type="heading"><subject>Article</subject></subj-group></article-categories><title>Research on the Contextualized Translation of English Discourse in Foreign-related Maritime Services at the Hainan Free Trade Port</title><url>https://artdesignp.com/journal/EIR/4/3/10.18063/EIR.v4i3.1753</url><author>WangNa</author><pub-date pub-type="publication-year"><year>2026</year></pub-date><volume>4</volume><issue>3</issue><history><date date-type="pub"><published-time>2026-03-26</published-time></date></history><abstract>This paper discusses different usage scenes for foreign service ports in Hainan Free Trade Port, and the translation strategy of the English speech under such a scene situation; It studies the language features of three main scenarios, sea law enforcement, ship agency, and marine search-and-rescue, and how context-based interpretation can play an important part in&amp;nbsp;facilitating effective cross-language communication at sea: enhancing the professionalization of services, and guaranteeing safe operations. This paper finds some practical problems,&amp;nbsp;such as the discrepancy between discussion and cases, lack of professional and common terms combination, lack of translation skills for translators. In line with international development requirements for&amp;nbsp;free trade port shipping service, which suggests concrete actions in three areas: standardization, expression merging practice, and training professional skills.
