Originally, it was designed to get students prepared for the workforce and post-secondary education. Over time, it was now adopted in many countries worldwide for international students. Among the diverse components of the OSSD system, the English as a Second Language (ESL) testing plays a crucial role in assessing as well as improving the English language skills of non-native speakers. This paper examines&amp;nbsp;the construct, design, scoring, and validity&amp;nbsp;of the ESL assessment within the OSSD framework, emphasizing its strengths while identifying areas for enhancement.
