LTD.</publisher-name></publisher></journal-meta><article-meta><article-id pub-id-type="doi">10.18063/APM.v11i5.2037</article-id><article-categories><subj-group subj-group-type="heading"><subject>Article</subject></subj-group></article-categories><title>Evaluation of Clinical Efficiency and Safety of Cefdinir Combined with Ornidazole in the Treatment of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease</title><url>https://artdesignp.com/journal/APM/11/5/10.18063/APM.v11i5.2037</url><author>ChenXiu</author><pub-date pub-type="publication-year"><year>2026</year></pub-date><volume>11</volume><issue>5</issue><history><date date-type="pub"><published-time>2026-05-26</published-time></date></history><abstract>Objective:&amp;nbsp;To explore the therapeutic value of cefdinir combined with ornidazole in patients with clinical pelvic inflammatory disease, analyze the effect of this combination on disease improvement, and evaluate adverse drug reactions.&amp;nbsp;Methods:&amp;nbsp;The case screening time was between May 2024 and March 2026. The selected research subjects were patients with pelvic inflammatory disease who were treated in our hospital. The sample size was 92 cases. They were divided into a control group (ornidazole single drug oral treatment) and an observation group (cefdinir combined with ornidazole oral treatment) of 46 cases each using the random number table method. The treatment efficiency (total effective rate, symptom improvement, inflammatory factors) and safety of each group were compared. Results: The total clinical treatment effectiveness of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the time for symptom resolution in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (p&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt; 0.05); before treatment, the baseline levels of inflammatory factors and hemorrheology indicators in the two groups were similar (p&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt; 0.05); after treatment, both groups had all indicators dropped significantly compared with those before treatment, and the decline rate of the observation group was better than that of the control group. The statistical result was p&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt; 0.05. The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the adverse reactions were mild and could be relieved on their own. No serious adverse drug events occurred (p&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt; 0.05).&amp;nbsp;Conclusion: The combined use of cefdinir and ornidazole in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease can quickly control clinical symptoms and reduce the body&amp;rsquo;s inflammatory response level. It has few adverse reactions and good tolerability.
